Death sentence for homosexuals

We all know that not everybody loves the queer community.
But in Uganda a law is about to be passed that couldn't be more homophobic and inhuman.
According to government plans, homosexuality is to be punishable by death. Okay, this maximum sentence should only be applied to incorrigible repeat offenders who wouldn't give up their criminal behavior despite long-term imprisonment - even though we all know that especially in jail, anyone has the unique opportunity to unreservedly embrace his heterosexual side. In order to ensure that all homosexuals can profit from governmental re-educational care, any homosexual act must be reported to police within 24 hours - at least you have enough time for a last post-coital cigarette.
You notice that I cannot comment on this news without being sarcastic. This, however, is merely the desperate expression of my utter horror in the face of so much barbarity. Thanks to massive international criticism and the threat of withdrawing development aid, the Ugandan president wants to check the bill again.
But even if the law isn't passed, it looks like it will be a while before we announce the first Ugandan gay-pride on queersome.
