Heterosexual Happy Ending

Oh, how I love movies with happy endings! At the end, everything takes a turn for the better. Always? Well, the Malaysian Board of Censors has its own definition of happy endings and of the Good itself. The morality guards have recently permitted gay men to be depicted in movies. What? Gay men in movies? I can hear your outcry, your sincere outrage and see the sheer horror in your eyes. How can they ascribe so much wickedness to Malaysian moviegoers? But I can put you at ease. Movies with such disgusting and thoroughly evil sequences will only be approved if there is a happy ending! The president of the Malaysian Film Producers' Association, Ahmad Puad Onah, explains that they will only show movies "as long as we portray good triumphing over evil and there is a lesson learned in the film, such as from a gay (character) who turns into a (straight) man."
Too bad that life is no movie and that people are unteachable. Thus there will always be gay men, even in Malaysia; speaking of which, we have the choicest locations for your own happy ending picked out right here!
