My dears I have something to confess: I will be unfaithful. But not to another chicken - no, I would have to be in a committed relationship for that - but to my beloved Berlin, to Berlin's Gay Pride to be more precise. Even at my age I want to be open to new things and therefore I'm going to Barcelona from June 18 - 28. But while the queer community in Berlin has been going on the streets for their rights since 1979, Gay Pride in Barcelona is taking place for the second time. The premiere last year was a huge success, such that the organizers proclaimed Pride Barcelona this year the most important queer event in the Mediterranean. And indeed, the program is really impressive. Art exhibitions and political debates for the intellect, concerts to relax, sport events for the active ones among us and countless parties for the dance addicts: you see, there is something for all of us. And on June 27 the entire community joins the parade and the big final party in order to celebrate our queer diversity with pride. Being unfaithful was never so much fun - and among the many participants there will certainly be a nice chicken for myself. But I will also be working in Barcelona. For both queersome and our partner ebab - enjoy bed & breakfast - will be presenting themselves for the community. So, perhaps we will be seeing you soon in Barcelona.
