Gays as honored citizens in China!

September 29, 2010

The Chinese are a population of billions among whom there are unfortunately some mentally ill individuals who, in the eyes of Chinese leaders, represent a threat to national security. But I should correct myself: for since 2001, the mentally ill are no longer considered as such -- they are now officially gay! But of course, they still remain a danger to society, particularly with the the national celebrations on October 1st so near.
Therefore, 80 homosexual men were briefly detained last Sunday as part of the annual safety inspections. Police photographed the men, took their fingerprints and blood samples; but why they then released them again is beyond me! Only a miracle can ensure that the national holiday transpires peacefully.
I have to ask, however, why the Chinese leadership harasses homosexuals so brutally. It would only be consistent with the party line that homosexuals in China be free to live out and surrender to their same-sex desire... since this kind of love produces no children! And isn't this exactly what the Chinese leadership wants? Fewer children in order to limit rapid population growth? Since 1979 at least, the 1-child policy has restricted couples to having only one child; couples with more than one child may be subject to penalties, while those who can restrain themselves from procreation receive benefits. By that logic, all childless couples ought receive special privileges. Hence, my proposal for the next conference of the Communist party: nominate all homosexuals as honorary citizens, and give them all a medal for outstanding services to the Chinese people! You could thus finally be a model for the Western world.
Having said this: Three cheers to to the queers!
