Witnesses wanted

July 22, 2011

In New York and Ghana witnesses are wanted to help binding homosexuals. But while the bonding in New York is made voluntarily, in Ghana compulsory bonds should be executed.
This coming Sunday, in New York a law permitting same-sex marriage comes into force. On that day alone, more than 1,500 witnesses to a marriage will attend the bond between two loving people.
In Ghana, however, witnesses should not help gays and lesbians to a voluntary bond, but they shall bring them in compulsory bonds. For in Ghana is not about the individual happiness of homosexuals, it's about protecting an entire nation. Paul Evans Aidoo, Western Regional Minister of Ghana, sees gays and lesbians a threat to the country and therefore urges the public to notify authorities of homosexuals. And religious leaders are concerned about the country as well. They warn against laws to protect homosexuals, as this would bring the wrath of God over Ghana. Well, and who would want to draw the wrath of God upon oneself? Homosexuals should therefore be removed from society and imprisoned. There they will also have a kind of a bond for life, but not with a loving man, but with an inhuman place that robs them of their liberty and happiness in life.
We can only hope that there will be a time of enlightenment and reason in Ghana one day and witnesses are wanted to make their people happy.
